  • How much will "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" earn domestically?

    The first poll; a test.
The first movie of each trilogy (original and prequels) earned the most money. Will "The Force Awakens" follow suit?
How much money do you think The Last Jedi brings in domestically?

Given the positive reviews and strong opening night, I think it'll pull around $650 million domestically.
"How do you turn this off, then?"

I'm going to go agree with Jeans, $650 million.

I'm going a little conservative; roughly $750 million.

The Last Jedi is barely going to get past $600 million domestically. That's one hell of a drop off from the Force Awakens. So many people disappointed with this movie and I can't blame them. I found it to be okay, a little boring at times and not much to get excited over. My biggest kudo was that TLJ was hard to predict (for me anyway). Episode IX can come out whenever; I've watched every Star Wars movie in the theater from ROTJ and will probably wait for IX to hit video. The excitement is gone, while the vast majority of Star Wars toys go unsold and collect dust across the nation.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, lots of positive reviews from critics (90%), but the 'people' didn't care much for it (49% approval). Reminds me of the Ghostbusters remake.

Disney made Star Wars bland. How is that even possible?

I'd rank the Star Wars movies as so (best to worst):
          Empire Strikes Back
          Star Wars
          Rogue One
          Return of the Jedi
          Revenge of the Sith
          The Force Awakens
          The Phantom Menace
          Attack of the Clones
          The Last Jedi
